How to use the wheel spinner

    1. Type or paste your entries in the box — one name or option per line (up to 100).
    2. Press Spin! or click the wheel. It slows down and stops on a random entry under the pointer.
    3. Use Remove this entry to take the winner out before the next spin — perfect for picking several winners or setting an order.
    4. Your entries are remembered in this browser for next time, and recent results appear in the history list.

    Is the wheel really random?

Yes. The final position is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (the same one used for passwords and encryption), using a method that avoids any bias toward particular slices. Every entry has an equal chance on each spin, no matter where it sits on the wheel. The spinning animation is just for fun — the result is decided fairly.

    Ideas for using the wheel

    • Classroom: pick who answers next, choose groups, or decide the order of presentations.
    • Giveaways and raffles: paste the names of entrants and spin live on stream or video call.
    • Team decisions: where to eat, which task to do first, who runs the next stand-up.
    • Games and parties: truth or dare, chores, Secret Santa order, board-game starters.

Want an entry to have better odds?

Add it more than once. For example, if someone earned three raffle tickets, list their name three times.

Need numbers instead of names? Use the random number generator. For a simple yes/no decision, flip a coin.
