How to delete pages from a PDF
- Choose your PDF. Page previews appear so you can see exactly what is on each page.
- Click the pages you want to remove. They are marked with a red border and a “Delete” label. Click again to keep a page.
- For long documents, type page numbers instead — for example
2, 5-7removes pages 2, 5, 6 and 7. - Press Save PDF. The new file contains only the pages you kept, in their original order.
Common reasons to remove pages
- Blank pages from double-sided scanning of single-sided documents.
- Cover sheets, fax headers and separator pages added by scanners and printers.
- Private information, such as a page with your ID number or bank details that the recipient doesn’t need.
- Duplicates created when merging files or scanning a page twice.
- Size limits — dropping unnecessary pages makes a file small enough to email or upload.
What happens to the rest of the document
The pages you keep are copied into a new PDF exactly as they were: text remains searchable, images keep their resolution, and links on those pages continue to work. The original file on your device is not changed, so you can always start again.
Bookmarks that pointed to deleted pages are not carried over, and digital signatures become invalid whenever a signed PDF is changed. If you need to keep a signature valid, ask the sender for a version without the extra pages.
Delete vs. split vs. extract
These tools overlap. Delete is quickest when you want to drop a few pages from a document. If you want to keep only a few pages from a long document, it is easier to list those in Split PDF (extract mode). And if you need to remove information from a page while keeping the rest of it, that is redaction — which requires a dedicated PDF editor, because simply covering text with a black box does not delete the text underneath.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete several pages at once?
Yes. Click as many pages as you like, or type a list such as “1, 4, 8-10”.
Will the remaining pages lose quality?
No. The pages you keep are copied unchanged, so text and images look exactly the same.
Can I undo a deletion?
Before saving, click a page again or press “Reset changes”. Your original file is never modified.
Is my document uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the PDF stays on your device.
