How to rotate a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF. A preview of every page appears after a moment.
  2. Click any page to rotate it 90° clockwise. Click again to keep turning it — two clicks make 180°, three make 270°.
  3. Rotate everything at once with “Rotate all left” or “Rotate all right”, or use “Make all landscape / portrait” to straighten a mixed scan in one go.
  4. Press Save PDF to download the corrected file.

Why pages end up sideways

Scanners and phone scanning apps decide which way is “up” from the paper feed or the phone’s orientation sensor. Landscape tables, certificates and photographs often end up on their side, and pages fed upside down come out at 180°. Some PDF viewers let you rotate the view, but that change disappears when you close the file or send it to someone else.

Permanent rotation, without quality loss

This tool changes the page’s rotation setting inside the PDF — the same property Adobe Acrobat changes when you rotate and save. The page content itself is not re-rendered, so text stays sharp and selectable, images keep their full resolution and the file size barely changes. Every PDF reader, on any device, will show the pages the right way up.

Rotate vs. landscape

A portrait A4 page rotated by 90° becomes a landscape page. “Make all landscape” rotates only the pages that are currently taller than they are wide; pages that are already landscape are left alone. This is handy for spreadsheets and wide charts mixed into a portrait report.

Tips

  • If only some pages are wrong, rotate just those — the others are saved exactly as they were.
  • Need to remove a blank or duplicate page at the same time? Use Delete PDF Pages after rotating.
  • Putting pages in a different order? Use Reorder PDF Pages.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The new orientation is saved into the PDF, so it shows correctly in every viewer and when you share the file.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Click only the page you want to turn; all other pages stay as they are.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Only the page’s rotation setting changes. Text, images and file size stay the same.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The preview and the rotation both happen in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
